Zafig Khalilov Lecturer at National Aviation Academy (Azerbaijan), PhDI would like to note that the Air Law Conference is very useful in terms of studying and promoting air law. One of the important points is that it joins world experts in this field. Every time at this Conference, each of us feel very comfortable and cozy, as in our hometown. I cannot fail to note that all the most topical issues of air law are discussed at the Conference. I believe that in the future this Conference will be in the forefront in international rankings in the field of aviation.
Maria Petrutik Head of Air Transport Department at External Transport Agency, St PetersburgAnnual conferences on air law have become a traditional meeting of experts from all over the world in the field of aviation. It is this form of communication that makes it possible to more deeply and substantively consider the issues of the state and development of the industry not only in Russia, but also abroad. Conference materials are of undoubted interest for the participants and should be used in practice. I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the conferences for the rich and fruitful program, high professional level and relevance of the topics discussed.
Nikolai P. EHLERS Partner of Ehlers, Ehlers & Partner, LL.M. (McGill)The St Petersburg Air Law Conference is a unique and very important international forum as it facilitates the meeting of air law specialists from Russia not only with colleagues from neighboring countries, but also from Western Europe. This is very useful as it helps to develop a greater understanding for each other in the interest of cooperation in this industry which is international by nature and has the main function to connect people more easily. The vision of the organizers to establish this forum and their great ability to create meaningful – and enjoyable – events year after year in beautiful St Petersburg, which has been a driving force and a symbol for closer ties between East and West since its foundation, is to be commended.
Ekaterina SAMORODOVA Assistant Professor at MGIMO UniversityThe St. Petersburg Air Law Conference is a unique international scientific, partnership event that has no analogues in the World, bringing together leading experts in this field in the professional field - from world-famous scientists to the strongest practitioners in the industry.
At the Conference site, delegates from around the World discuss topical issues of International Air Law related to the use of airspace in the modern world, share their experience with colleagues, and find solutions to complex problems that are most often reflected on the agenda. Speeches and debates are held in an atmosphere of intercultural professional dialogue filled with respect, trust and a desire for cooperation.
Of particular value in the context of the development of higher professional education is the fact of the wide presence at the Conference of students and graduate students of specialized universities and their active participation in the work. For many of them, the Conference becomes a ticket to the profession, science and life.
The organization of the event impresses each participant with a high level of thoughtfulness and hospitality. The unsurpassed charm is given to the Conference by the beautiful views and interiors of the imperial halls in which it takes place, filling the guests with the beauty and warmth of Russian culture.
Aleksey LEONOV Leading Expert on Relations with the Aviation Authorities at Volga-Dnepr AirlinesThe Air Law Conference, held annually in St Petersburg by the AEROHELP Institute, is one of the few events for meetings of experts in the field of air law in Russia. During these meetings, the participants of the conference have an excellent opportunity not only to hear reports of foreign colleagues on air law issues, discuss the most pressing issues of legal regulation of air transport activities, and exchange experience in this field. Live communication with industry colleagues, scientists, representatives of national regulators allows the conference participants to take a fresh look at the law enforcement practice of regulating the activities of international air transport in various jurisdictions.
The Tenth St Petersburg Air Law Conference will be held on October 8, 2021 at the Kelch Mansion (now the Lawyers House), one of the most remarkable and at the same time invisible architectural monuments of the Northern Capital. The invisible castle was built in 1896-1903 by order of the richest baron of the times of the Russian Empire - Alexander Kelch. The Kelch family owned an impressive collection of products from the Faberge jewelry house: jewelry, cutlery and, of course, the world-famous Easter Eggs. At that time, only Alexander Kelch and oil magnate Ludwig Nobel could afford the Faberge Easter collection. Over the years, the mansion housed various institutions, in particular, the UNESCO department, the St Petersburg Justice Department, as well as the School of Screen Art, which graduated a galaxy of famous Soviet producers such as F. Ermler and S. Vasiliev. The first Mayor of St Petersburg Anatoly Sobchak also worked here. Currently, the building belongs at the Saint Petersburg State University.
Kelch Mansion (Lawyers House) is located at St Petersburg, Tchaikovskogo str., 28
