Anna KONERT Professor of Aviation Law, Institute of Air and Space Law at Lazarski UniversityAir transport infrastructure is fundamental for the mobility of the persons and goods and for the territorial cohesion of the world. Legal problems of international transport are quite complex and raise many problems of interpretation. In this situation the knowledge and understanding of international transport law is a must. Therefore I would like to congratulate to the organizers for the idea of the 5th Conference in Bucharest in Air law.
Diana DRAGHICI Student of Law Faculty at Nicolae Titulescu UniversityI was an attendee of the Fifth Bucharest Air Transport Conference 2014- 100 years of commercial aviation. It was one of the most interesting Conferences I have been to. Prominent and expert representatives of ICAO, EU and EASA, governmental authorities, academics and law firms addressed very specific topics regarding both public and private international air law.The speakers allowed time for questions to be raised and answered and encouraged open communication. I found out useful information and since then, air law has become a niche area of law that I would like to specialize in. As a result of attending this Conference, I am exploring my options as a current resident of Australia to practice this area of law on an international level.
Oleg AKSAMENTOV Director of the Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELPTo attend a conference in Bucharest, communicating with the organizers and delegates, I discovered many new things. Friendly format of the conference allowed delegates feel especially simple. Many colleagues, with whom I met in Bucharest, are now my friends and partners. I am sure that such a conference can extend the professional horizons of delegates and promote the strengthening of international cooperation in civil aviation.
The Fifth Bucharest Air Transport Conference - 100 Years of Commercial Aviation was held on March 26-27 at one of the most impeccable and graceful architectural jewels in Bucharest - Palace of the National Military Circle.
Located at the intersection of the much celebrated Victory Avenue and Queen Elisabeth Boulevard, the palace is impossible to miss out, since it is one of the most eye-catching structures in the very center of the Romanian capital. From its opening until now, the Palace of the National Military Circle has been the headquarters of the National Military Circle, which is the most important cultural institution of the Romanian army. In fact, the palace was built to this purpose precisely. It is also home to the National Military Library.
